It definitely has a solid core-mechanic; though the current meta seems to remove some of the fun.

It definitely has a solid core-mechanic; though the current meta seems to remove some of the fun. Yeah the Falcon with Han Solo's reroll ability and the 360 view is kinda mean. I read the Rebels main strat is the Falcon with Solo and the Empire's strat is to flood out cheap ships.

On the reddits, FF seems to be trying to shake up the Swarm meta but there are so many units/upgrades that are worthless: TIE Bombers, Torpedoes, most Missiles, A-Wings, TIE Ints, TIE Defenders, TIE Adv....the Empire kinda gets the short-end of the stick.

Just got back from a weekly tourney at a FLGS...my assessment? Dashes...dashes everwhere. The power creep for this game is insane and has really invalidated a lot of the ships I own, I'm going to tweak my squads and try again but that doesn't mean the game is good atm.

Aye it is, Ker Kanos is really good for Focus denial and the ability to add mods to the Int is very potent.

After playing more going into Wave 6: we have learned that actually TIE Bombers, TIE Ints, and A Wings are very good. The Outmaneuver card and Autothrusters card really make the latter two shine. They are very hard to hit while they make the defender roll 1 less dice. The Bombers can do massive AoE to the field to Swarm type builds(4 or more of the same low cost ship.)
