I've been wanting too, but real life has me a bit distracted, and the last time I tried doing a Mech3 video Fraps really freaked out on me. I'll let you know how it goes next time.
Update: Okay so it's not actually fraps causing the freak out. Wheeled vehicles have been causing all sorts of lag with the addition of the weapons mod, and the new machine guns make it even worse. So it looks like I'm not doing any videos on levels featuring APCs and I'm not using machine guns anymore.

Interesting. I'll have to put my thinking cap on for this one. This is the super computer you put together, right?
Does this lag happen when not using Fraps?
I have encountered game lag on that level when playing one of my added enemies missions, namely op 4 mission 2, the mission where you have to destroy all the munitions houses. In my version it begins with a large amount of vehicles attacking and faster mechs, and there ends up being a large amount of game lag...as if the game engine itself is being taxed with having to run so many AI and animation scripts all at once. However, I always thought that this would improve if played on a faster PC.

It appears that the stress is less on the computer, and more on the game engine itself. Rapid fire weapons and non-mech vehicles tend to cause the most problems so far, but pulse-lasers are manageable. And yes it still does this without Fraps.

So I tried setting up an account and all that, and it's been "pending approval" for about a week now.
