Just a question, hoping to get some feedback...
I'm getting close to a release of what I'm calling "the weapons module" which basically is the embodiment of what I'm able to do to the game using the workbench, the foundation...changing lame weapons into cool weapons, adding 'Mech variants to the stock 'Mechs, adding/editing sound files, messing around with effects. The current release has two major issues: The Daishi definition file was accidentally corrupted, but is still playable in the game, and I may be able to fix this by learning vb6 (which I needed to do anyway long ago) and accessing the file through the workbench source. The other major issue is a corruption regarding playing the training missions, which is a bummer because I wanted to include a redone version of the training missions, but that will have to be on hold. I don't know for sure what has caused this issue but I have some theories. Bottom line is that either my edits to the main reader file have caused it, or edits to the sound files caused it...I tend to think it's the reader...in which case I have to start from scratch and basically do this module over again without mistakes in order to fix it. So, I'm going to release it with the training mission glitch and do a re-release much later after I've redone it. It sucks to think I'm releasing something that isn't completely without problems, but it's already been a long time coming. I just wanted some thoughts and opinions.
EDIT: The issues were fixed and the Weapons Module has been released. Click on my Sig below to be taken to the MechWarrior 3 Mod website and you will find it in the downloads page....

I don't have a machine that can run MW3 unless this laptop can run it. Will try it soon.

Speaking of modding sounds, how can you do that? I want to change some of the weapon sounds.
