Mech 3 is funny about its heat sync allocations. If you strip a mech it will still have a default number of heat syncs.
If your mech has regular heat syncs and you strip all of them out you will still have a default number of regular heat syncs.
If your mech has (clan) double heat syncs and you strip out all of them your mech will still have a default number of (clan) double heat syncs.
If your mech has regular heat syncs and If you strip out all these regular heat syncs and then load one (clan) double heat sync, and then remove this heat synch, your mech will now have a default number of (clan) double heat syncs.
This little game glitch is very useful when you're playing on an ice map where heat syncs are not needed and you want to carry as many lasers as possible. This is how you run 14 (clan) medium lasers on a ice map without overheating or blowing up.

Good tip.
In some scenarios, you can still kill yourself with 14 ER M. But this tip will help this amount of Medium Lasers to work without blowing up as easily.
