Hi everyone, long time mechwarrior, yeah I had mechwarrior 2 and a vfx-1 VR headset back in the day. When the real virtual reality kicked off, look up VFX-1 helmet and marvel at the technology!!!! Also a recently rediscovered MW4 mercs player. Not a fan of the mwo online title but like what I see for the BT strategy game and mw5, but we will see.....

My 7 year old son loves anything to do with mechs, he has the board game, 120 miniatures, elementals and technical readouts and was the main reason I got mw4 working on my 2 computers at home. Thanks to the guys at clan coyote for their help. My son and I play LAN on mw4 against bots and he loves it. I just discovered this site and mw3 and how far it has come and wanted to know if it can be played the same way as described above?

Can my son and I play with bots on our team and then an equal opposing team made entirely of AI in mw3 with all these awesome mods I see available?

I'm not sure if what you're wanting to do can be done. 2 players vs A.I. doesn't sound like something that can be done, but I could be wrong. Someone that knows should be along shortly.
We have MW3 on line games weekly that use the weapons mod if you're interested. They usually go around 2:00 PM US Eastern time on Game Ranger. Occasionally during the week in the early evenings.
Someone should be able to give you all the applicable links. I can never find anything and I'm always getting lost...

Welcome! Sorry that all can't be done, I wish it could but I tried it and the game won't do AI in multiplayer. Not sure there's a way to trick the game into having 2 ppl play in a single-player game because I never thought of it, but I'll give it some thought. My first impulse is that it can't happen. The game just doesn't have the set-up for it.

Getting set up to play...well there's plenty of help all over this forum for that and also at the "all things MechWarrior" reddit.

A nice legit copy with no strings attached??

Ebay is way to expensive and cannot justify the hefty price......
