I'm old. I loved mw3. Loved it. Aft ms bought it and multiplayer online died. With that I mean easy to play and had growth potential I started playing fps. I loved playing online with groups and teams. You would spend your money for the game, get a few maps/mods and weapons over the next few years. Then they would send out the next game version and you would repeat the whole process again. I'm not a stand alone game type person. I hardly ever play single player anymore and go straight to multiplayer. So that's why my perspective maybe different than others.
I'm not for or against mwo at this time but just excited to be in a mech again facing real people.
things i ask myself so far:
How do we know they are making "all this money"?
If I played golf instead would I be spending more on my hobby?
What is a fair price?
Is this model help keep the game fresh?
Am i having fun with the money I've spent or not spent?
Am I just being an old fart and wanting the good old days?
is the community fun?
I was taken a back by the clan prices but then if the clano stuff is overpowering then I'm cool with that. Most guys that can probably afford it aren't thst great on multiplayer. Bold assumption I know.
Real vs not real. Well if you buy any software you've bought something had crafted. It takes people to make software and this is no different. I work in the software industry. Long hours and very stressful. Yeah, there's a price to be paid. I've spent many hours on software from my family. Some people are greedy some are not. Hopefully their not to bad and the continual stream model will allow for new stuff consistantly.
So far I've enjoyed myself. I've got stuff using free and paid and haven't felt ripped off yet. The CW part really needs some help but i may not being seeing g it for its true purpose yet. I gotta do some more research on what it is supposed to be.
Some bitch and want the old days. Well life doesn't work like that In my experience. I don't think the sheep analogy is fair if you are having fun with people playing.
Some people want to play by themselves and I can see why they maybe fustrated since you can't set the level of your competition and/or dont like people.
So far I'm enjoying myself And don't feel ripped off. Just need to get with a group. I enjoy more complex team play Via voice.
