Hello folks. Hopefully someone will see this here.
I just acquired an old Dell Optiplex GX620 to install MW3 on. It installed flawlessly and launched, though the age old problem persists even on an old PC like this, bouncing APCs.
Specs are as follows: Pentium 4 HT 3 GHz, 2 GB DDR2 RAM, Intel 82945G Express Chipset
Nothing fancy or overpowered. But I don't have a way of fine tuning the video settings. Are there any suggestions? Would some of the fixes meant for Win 7 work for this?
Let me know
Thanks,
TJReily

Hello, the best solution so far seems DGVoodoo. There are many threads and guides around that help fix the game. I recall this as the best and easiest to set up: https://www.reddit.com/r/mechwarrior/comments/504h3z/stonewalls_tips_to_fixing_bouncing_apcshd_gaming/

Think I tried this before and it freaked out about DirectX not being the right version.

Were you also using a flat screen monitor with this old computer?
