Well. It seems I miss calculated the size of the LBX. I had to alter the plan a bit. It seems 2 LBX 10s won't fit on the right side only, so I'm having to redo the left side to make room for the other cannon. One cannon per side. Shesh, I hate these engineering setbacks.

Herby's mix and match. I took the chest area of the last model, changed a few things, and scratch built the rest. I'm thinking about rebuilding the chest area too so it's all original and not a composite.

It looks exceptionally similar to the Cataphract Battlemech... Coincidentally it was also dubbed a "Frankenmech"

That's strange. I don't know much about a lot of the mechs. I just started building and ended up with... what do I call it? It needs a name.
It's not quite done yet. Still tweaking things. Need to add JJs also. That seems to be one huge overlooked aspect of mech building. No one ever models them. Another aspect 'way' overlooked is the ability to climb to the cockpit. When you're in the field you may not have a nice gantry to haul around with you. If you're stranded on a mission... you can either die of thirst or jump to your death unless you're driving a small mech. Then there's the problem of getting back into it. If you're thinking of elemental gear... what cockpit or pilot is going to have room for, or wear all that gear while piloting a mech? I'm thinking of MW4 Vengeance opening cinema. The pilots are scantily clad like modern day tank drivers.

IS pilots like to bring everything they need inside their cockpits and really if you see the mechs from a different perspective they are much more like a "power armor", You can just remain inside, but it all is influenced by design

Many mechs have barely enough room for a scant human... although the mech above can be adapted for a more spacious cockpit

I would imagine that all mechs cockpits have inside them a type of "rope ladder" similar to what you'd find on a helicopter that rolls down so you can get out and climb back in.
