This is very odd. I'm having all sorts of video issues now. Like I had when I was first trying to get the game to run. Smearing and color artifacts. I didn't change anything. What could have gone wrong?
DUHHH!!! I know why. I forgot to put the other zbd files in the folder with the maps... stupid, stupid, stupid... it also caused a blue screen.
Questions:
1) How do you set mech drop points? I can set the MFB points fairly easy because I can see where they end up but mech drop points are impossible without some sort of reference. What do I do? Borrow an MFB for reference so I can see where it ends up? Setting all the drop points is going to take a loooooong time.
2) What is the 'Stealth' point for?

1) My quick solution was always to pretend it's an actual air drop and set the Z to somewhere in the air, like, 40, 50, 70.
2) Stealth point should always be set to the exact same x,y,z of "player"....I don't know what it is but it exists in all the missions, mp and sp.

Setting the MFB points and checking for Z accuracy. Using an MFB as a template to set all Z spawn points for maps that are underground (can't air drop mechs underground). Setting 'stealth' and 'player at the exact same X,Y,Z points. Removing ALL CAPS and fixing grammar/spelling errors from user maps. IE (from) ICEFACTORY CONDOS (to) Ice Factory Condos. Reason: Stock maps are all caps. Easy to quickly distinguish in game between stock maps and user maps. Makes sense to me. Fixing boundaries. Some maps have game play outside boundaries. May be a cause of crash and other bugs. Better safe than not. Making them plenty big.

Some good thoughts there.
The boundary idea might be true, however lately I think the crashing bug might have to do with the same issue that seems to govern everything...fps and how the game doesn't handle modern software/cpu's in relation to it. I have found on my new PC that since the dgvoodoo settings I'm no longer getting mgun/graphics overload crashes. I really am starting to believe that the so-called "LRM crash" is related to fps inconsistencies.

C2 is done.I deleted three maps. One was messed up.
One was a duplicate, same name, same map, same points, same author. One was just stupid (under ground) and had no MFB points, plus all the spawn points were wrong (Z axis) and their layouts were dumb.
I had to do fixing on most maps. Finnegans maps were very well put together. So were yours except for a couple of things. There were a couple MFB points that needed lifting out of the dirt and one was sitting almost on top of some explosives so I moved it over a few feet. Two of them had to be raised and moved over a bit to get all of the MFB's to sit completely out of the dirt. I also took the liberty of raising the drop points on your maps from 50 to 90. Feels more like a dropship drop. I like it.

Need more. I'm on a roll. Still haven't figured out how you can pick out duplicate maps so quickly. The only way I've found to do it is first find all lookalikes using the editor, which is no easy feat when you have 70 maps, then take them all in game and compare them...

T1 done. I culled the folder. Found several duplicates and some messed up maps that wouldn't load into the editor. Just made it crash.
Did the same as on the C2 folder...
I think I found a system to find duplicates. I take a pic of a map and then start opening others to see if they're the same. If they are then I compare the (X,Y,Z) points, boundaries, and environment.
I noticed some of your spawn points are dropping from the upper atmosphere (300) , hehe.
Let me know which folder to do next.

Yeah, I deleted A LOT that didn't work in the editor. That's definitely a criteria to go by. Hope you didn't destroy Freako's maps hehe.
Take your pick, c4, c4b, I haven't had time lately but I am in the middle of c3...already culled but doing the other stuff.

I left your maps alone. There aren't 'any' MFB's so there was no reason to mess with anything.
I didn't mess with any of them but In t1, some maps have a 3rd border. What's the light blue border for?
I'll take c4

There's a light blue border in T1? What's it called, and is Finn the author?
All my maps have mfb's, but sometimes, and I think it's a glitch with the mission editor, when you open a mission for some reason it forgets that mfb's are already allowed. You'll find out if you allow them and they show up in logical places where it looks like their Z has been worked on.

It's called Beach Node. I think it's a trigger for the tutorial. Probably ignored by MP. You have two maps identical except for slight difference in weather. c4 - 14 Medium Sandstorm c4 - 15 Heavy Sandstorm What do you want to do?
Finnegan has two maps completely identical right down to the weather, nodes, temp, everything. c4 - 181 GIMpoid Train Station c4 - 211 Finnegan's Deep Basin I'm deleting 181

hmm, yeah I never did like those sandstorm maps. Your choice but I would only keep 1. The only thing interesting about them is the fog color.
Yeah, delete the gimpoid maps definitely, they're all just copies.

There was a lot of messed up maps in here.
The Gimpoid map in here is not a copy. I deleted the other one. I guess you could rename it...
Deleted 'your' heavy sandstorm copy also.
As I've been doing this and going into game I noticed on some maps the distant hills seem to pop up. Looks bad. I'm starting to get a handle on how to fix this. It has to do with rendering and 'fog' settings.
I made my first map! Turned out pretty good. It can be pretty tough if you don't use JJ's. There are a couple of Easter eggs in it. You don't run into them unless you have MFB's enabled in game.

There is no MFB option in any of these maps. It's greyed out.
