This coming Sunday Stonewall and I will be online in Gameranger hoping to see friends online to help us test the new Objectives oriented base attack/defend multiplayer mission recently created. We will be online starting at noon EST.
What you need:
A working installation of 'MechWarrior 3
The weapons mods installed, first version 2.0, then 2.1
This is a beta testing, and we're looking forward to players showing up to help us test it!
Team A mission download link
Team B mission download link
Download both missions to your desktop for easy access
How it works is, players gather in the game lobby and decide who will be on either team A or team B before drop, then double-click the install for the appropriate team.
Next game, if everyone decides to switch teams, just click the installer for the other team. Simple.
The weapons mods are found on my mod site, linked by clicking my avatar below----Make sure you install the weapons mods because some of the same files are used in the missions. (the map is dependant upon these files)
The mission scenario is this: It takes place on the c3 world where the pyramids and Durgan city are. (the op 3 missions 4 and 5 areas)
Team A defends the Pyramids and their 2 adjacent bridges, plus the bridge to the north next to the laser towers
Team B defends the 5 destroyable buildings in the corner of Durgan city.
The total damage points for each set of targets is 1300 points of damage before they get destroyed. Once all targets for each team are destroyed there will be a suicide, presumably if it goes according to how I think it's programmed, everyone on the team will have a suicide/death which will count against the team's total kills in the form of a suicide (minus 1 point for each team member)
Mission will end depending on the normal parameters of 'Mech3 multiplayer chosen by the host. The suicides/objective destruction only affects the score, they won't end the game.
We will be testing for:
To see if the suicides work
To see if all the objectives target correctly: Your own defended targets will have a blue triangle when you use the "Q" button, your enemy targets will get a red triangle when either targeted with the "Q" button or the target button--however you have it mapped.
To see if spawn points are mostly correct, all team mates should spawn near their base. Team A should spawn behind the pyramids, team B should spawn behind Durgan.
To see that the mfb's are in place.
To see that there are no glitches/issues.
To have fun!
