I have all the mods installed... What the hell keeps hitting me and knocking me into next week??? I realize the big guns in 1, 2 hit like sledge hammers but There are hidden (something) in other missions that will knock your dick in the dirt. They seem to come from no where. Are these teensy tinesy mechs in the missions packing multiple 155 howitzers? I can't figure it out.
I "did" figure out to swap the reader.zbd from the mod with the original will put the weapons back to stock taking some frustration away from targeting with lasers... and eliminate the phantom sledge hammer.

Probably TAG missiles. If an enemy "tags" you and you don't get away the missiles will knock you down if they don't kill you.

hehe. I kind of figured it was a tag. It came from nowhere. Anyway. I've been using the tag lately and I'm liking it... a lot. Very cool. I'm discovering different tactics that I've not tried before. Adds spice to the game. Thanks for answering

No problem. If an enemy tags you it's easy to tell by the sound of the TAG laser, and when they do hopefully you're in mid movement and at full throttle because you need to get beyond 200 meters of the spot you got tagged at in order to avoid splash damage. If you're sitting still when it happens you're probably going to get wacked pretty hard, but you'll decrease damage by getting the hell out of there as fast as possible. Also, another way to tell it was the TAG missiles is they make a huge crater--the biggest craters of any of the weapons. The TAG does not cause missiles to lock onto you, they lock onto the spot where you got tagged. However, in my mod, TAG also functions as a NARC Beacon, which DOES lock other missiles onto you. This is a canonical change I made, I did the research. It is "assumed" that all missiles in 'MechWarrior 3 have NARC receivers. Another reason I did this is because I had to use the NARC weapon slot in order to create the RAC 5.

I'm going to create a thread in the 'Mech3 Mod section of the Mods forum here that has to do with talking about the single-player campaign and other single-player changes I've made, so that newcomers can go somewhere to quickly find answers to some of the same things that have plagued a couple people here.

Request: A list of all weapons and their info, such as damage, range, heat, what they are. Some of the new weapons you have in the mod are a complete mystery to me and the other weapons have different stats from stock. This would be an enormous help in determining what weapons to use. A go to for quick reference.
