I just read the MWO thread, in the words of Farnsworth "I'm sad now." If it wasn't for Dawg_Pack, there never would have been a Mech3 to stumble upon and meet all you wonderful people I'm not too religious, but I'll say that the legacy of Dawg_Pack bringing us all together to discuss and engage with something we all love is pretty damn good. Hail the victorious dead! On another note, I'm glad that you, Freako, are keeping the idea going. I'll try to get more active here again like I was in my early days of Mech3.org

I finally managed to get through training and into the first couple missions in mw3 after patching (thanks for the archive link)...buggy but everything works to some degree. My biggest gripe is the key binding system. If i want to change anything i have to keep pressing the keys over and over to get a change. No way of using scroll...oh well, and mouse sensitivity can NOT be changed (this one really bugs me) Random crashes here and there...but as expected I really need to get used to this game. Legging is soo easy...the center torso will not go down lol. Any tips for finishing enemy mechs? Like where to hit to always get a knock down Overheating is a huge problem for me =P (MW4 was so much easier) cmon after 3-4 laser shots its time to use coolant what gives XD lol -weapons groupings are also antagonizing...oh well love of labor errr....labor of love I guess I'll be happy to hear any suggestions. Thanks guys!

For mouse sensitivity, try free reticule, num pad 0 and ctrl I think. Key bindings was never an issue for me even on win 7. If you are running in 1024x786 or what ever it is, you will need the rez patch made by EoP, I have it here some where and am meaning to dig it up and post here eventually. The rez patch prevents ctd when your reticle touches the edge of the screen, something to do with an extra pixel in the reticle triangle. Bouncing vehicles and floating off with jj use is fixed by making the vid card work as hard as possible, aa as high as it will go, and making sure your monitor refresh rate is no higher than 60hz, max out in game settings and vsync needs attention as well, I do not remember if it needs to be off or on. I had mw3 running better on win 7 than I ever did on xp or win 95, It takes patience and tweaking the system, mostly in the video card. Once you have it set be sure to set a profile for mw3 in your vid card cp so you can go to it right away, mine will launch the settings when I launch the mw3 exe, You do not want to play modern games with mw3 settings. Hope this helps. Peri

Sorry forgot to mention, ATI guy here =P I switched sides a good while back. I have not had any cursor crashes, but some with jj around enemy mechs and weird one while targeting friendly mfb units. I did notice another glitch with jj (maybe it is the above mentioned) if you jumpjet immediately after falling (when you hit) you get a pretty amazing bounce... -Coming from mechwarrior 4 which was easy...mechwarrior 3 is something like a hotwire job...whenever it crashed it would take away my key settings- had to switch between saved settings for the glitch to go away. Before I figured it out I made about 10 useless key bindings though... lol.

Hey guys, just found out the news myself. Heartbreaking to hear what happened, mech3 was a great place to be as the sense of community was like none other. I'll definitely miss him. Thanks for keeping the ball rolling Freako.

Hi all, nice to see you here. Just got back to papercraft business to learn why mech3.org was not available anymore. Sad news. Regarding the missing models I may have most offre them but have renamed the files. I've not uploaded them since I didn't people were missing them. I'll try to find time to upload them.

Oh, I forgot. Thank you for creating this place. I'm upload my finished models. I will post individual links once done since folder links don't seem to work anymore.

Hello! I'm sad to say that I did not know Dawg_Pack or have any real experience with MW3.org but I have been a fan of the MechWarrior series since I was a child. I'm extremely happy to see people trying to revive a community for the older games seeing as MW:O is well...MW:O. If any of you guys remember someone by the name of "Krelin" or "Krelin The Mad" from the old MW4 days then guess what? You know my father.
