Since the old leagues of MechWarrior 3 died out with the MSN Gaming Zone going down, anyone have any comments/gossip? I know the leagues were pretty heated at one time. Was anyone using mulitple tags? (for example) My one comment was I didn't like how people could blacklist a player because he/she had too much experience. For active veterans, it discouraged participation in the leagues. I could never think of a way around this except for making a season long schedule where everyone played each other at least twice. Any thoughts? I remember one time CZ Unlimited Ammo league had a 2 vs 2 tournament. The team with the lowest win % got to bid the first mod. Then the next team would bid the next mod and so on. My main wingman Frost and I formed a new team before the tournament and our win % was 0 because we didn't have any games played. We would bid stock every time. We won the tournament. It was a loophole, but it was a fun tournament.

LMAO! So you were my bane!
And hell yes, there were plenty of peeps trying to run multiple tags, except I always caught them. (OK, nobody's perfect, but a good 95% of them) I still have my old database with over 1700+ names of the old players.
Came across this in my files:
You just opened up the floodgates to a hell of a lot of memories. DMC....my first MechWarrior Unit. Destructive Mech Cannibals. Where did we come UP with that name??!! lmao.

One thing I just remembered was how people would use a new alias for CZ. It seemed to be for two reasons: they were cheaters or they were being blacklisted.
Something else I can add, was I really disliked how the Stock League in CZ was handled. I pleaded and begged and begged some more for Stock League because Stock players would shafted in NUA and UA. In NUA, people would bid Beachhead or any hot map if you bid Stock. And in UA, they would pick an Ice Map or Royal Ice Rumble. This messed up the mod of Stock by the maps being too hot(helped the Lasers players), too cold(helped the UAC players), or Royal Ice Rumble would just be a spawn rape with no skill involved.
So anyways, after all the begging and getting signatures for the petition they wanted and jumping through all the hoops - we got a Stock League. But what happened to little ol' me who campaigned and made it happen? They only allowed me to pick the Mod of the Day. WTF. I was really let down. I had played with a Stock clan almost a week after I started playing. I got my ass kicked many times until that one day everything clicked and I became pretty damn good at using any Stock mech solo/working as a team. It really surprised me after all my work to get the league running, all my time spent in the Stock community, that I wasn't allowed a higher spot.
