Do I need to be using a hardcopy of the game? I downloaded the game from the internet and have it sitting in a folder in downloads and when I used the installer, it created a new folder next to it. So I copy and merged/replaced all the new files from the installer into the folder I had the game files in and everything worked fine, the intro picture before the main menu had changed, but when I went to play instant action or campaign it would "Download mission files" for 1-2 seconds and then crash... Is this what I need that update patch for?

Keep playing with it to see if you can figure out the rubberbanding. There is a lot of help in the help section here.

I've been fiddling around a bit and can't seem to fix the rubberieness... I did manage to cause terrible problems, such as causing the game to slowly grind to a halt as you begin to sink into the ground while the camera twists back behind the cockpit with the zoom acting on it's own bizarre accord until it finally reverses, spinning the camera around furiously as you rise back up out of the ground... So yeah... |

I did it!!! I used the quadrolidigy thingy and manually added the files from the weapons mod and it's running beautifully!  |

I just copied it into the folder for MechWarrior 3 that has a folder of the exact same name and merge/replaced everything it asked about.

I'll give it a go as soon as I can! I also noticed a random bug that occurred after ctrl-alt-deleting out of mechwarrior and then reentering that made some bushwacker textures and all weapon/mfb/Owen textures become red and blue striped. Only seemed to happen that one time though. I'll continue to fiddle with it to see what breaks it/what fixes it! Where can I get those maps though? |
