Man...this place was hard to find...but worth the search... (got the link from Stonewall @mwo)... im still working on getting 2 working on 8.1, so until then im all into 3---and its very cool. Currently working Op1-4...Well just wanted to sign in and say hey

I was looking at your (Added Enemies) mod and thought id ask you...should I play through 3 without it or try it starting with Op2, or just replay from the start--- reason being im just an average pilot and op1 was fairly easy---.Thanks for the tips...

The added enemies mod starts right from the beginning, so that's up to you. If you've never played through the whole campaign before I'd encourage you to play without the mod at least once to see what it was like for your own personal comparison. You'll find the mod a challenge.

I cloned my original install onto D drive deleted the games file and then ran AE overit ...now I got both, and yes even Op1-1... I got my clock cleaned---nice job

The Vulture is usable in MechWarrior 3.  And honestly the question isn't as newbie as you'd thing, since Mechs come and go from the series in some pretty strange ways sometimes. I still lament the lack of Orion in MechWarrior 4, since it's one of my favorite Inner Sphere heavies. |

Yoga... how do I go about accessing and piloting a Vulture/Maddog in 3?
Yes AncientxFreako...mostly I blew half my ammo on them and got roasted by the last mech---lesson learned...lol

Vulture's show up later in the campaign and you can salvage them, or choose one in instant action.

The AI isn't very good in 'mech3..better in Pirate's Moon.
The trick is to train yourself to always think for them.
They will get stuck by environmental objects and dead 'mechs, but they will always follow you and pretty much mock your footsteps, so if you walk a clear path they will as well. With this in mind, always lead them on a path perpendicular to the enemy. This will help them avoid enemy fire (as it will YOU) and it will also maximize their firepower (think skirmish line from the revolutionary war) Then, when you've got them in that kind of formation quickly order them to attack one of the furthest enemies and they will advance while keeping that line somewhat, depending on the map, and they'll hit each enemy on their way towards the one you told them to attack. There are also some more tips in the read-me I wrote, but also in the original read-me file that came with the game. These tips are very good ones, but hardly anyone knows about them because hey, who reads the read-me file?
