I have noticed that almost always LRMs and TBOLTs hits the Center Torso; is this because the Center Torso has the engine and, therefore, emit more heat? Does different body parts emit different heat signatures?
If so what can i do to reduce each body part's heat signature?

iirc you can aim LRM to different body parts using targeting computer.

Unless you are using the targeting computer as you said, all the missiles in Mech3 and Pirate's Moon are programmed to home in on the center torso, it's just the most practical way the devs found to make the game consistent. You can also shoot the missiles without missile-lock, simply aim at the body part you are hoping to hit before they lock in...there's no rule that says you can't lead-aim on a moving target. There are many defensive and offensive maneuvers you can make that utilize manipulation of the center torso lock as well, but you'll have to learn them by trial and error and experience. This is part of what we term "damage spread" within the skillset of a MechWarrior. Each Mech in MechWarrior 3 and Pirate's Moon has a different shape and this affects their target profile as well, and only through experience can you learn to understand how this can be used to your advantage when it comes to defense. These are some of the subtleties that make the 'Mech3 platform such a great MechWarrior game simulation.
